Editorial Policy — Creditsin News
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom alone. Commercial teams have no say in what is covered, how a product is scored, or the conclusion of an article. Referral commissions are never a factor in coverage, and no partner reviews an article before publication.
Sourcing
- RBI circulars, notifications and press releases; SEBI and IRDAI filings
- Official bank, NBFC and fintech announcements, rate cards and terms documents
- Company filings, exchange disclosures and audited financial statements
- Named, on-record statements from spokespersons and industry participants
Where a story originates with another publication, that outlet is credited by name and linked in the article. We do not present another outlet's reporting as our own.
Verification
Numeric claims — interest rates, fees, eligibility cutoffs, reward rates — follow the two-source rule: the issuer's official document plus one independent confirmation. Unverified figures are not published.
Originality
Articles marked Original reporting contain first-hand reporting, data analysis or documentation review carried out by our desk. Everything else is clearly attributed aggregation or analysis.
Use of AI
AI tools may assist with research summaries, outlines and formatting. Every article is edited, fact-checked and approved by a named human editor before publication. We do not publish unreviewed AI output, and AI is never the source of a factual claim.
Updates and corrections
Rate-sensitive articles are monitored for change; substantive edits update the article's visible “updated” timestamp. Factual errors are corrected and disclosed under our corrections policy.
Conduct and compliance
- No guarantees of loan or card approval — approval rests with the lender.
- No fear-based or urgency-manufactured framing to drive applications.
- No unauthorised use of bank branding or logos.
- Staff do not accept gifts or paid trips from covered institutions.
